Find new associations between objects within or across collections based on their semantic metadata and their physical properties represented by their 3D models. These include their overall shape and size, as well as specific features like their decoration, their surface roughness and their colour. Gain an understanding of single pieces in a collection by reading the associated semantic information and interacting with their 3D models.

Group

Create groups and sets of artefacts according to your interests to structure your work and for further analysis. Add notes and modify them according to your needs.

Compare

Use the platform to compare features and shape of artefacts through the study of their 3D models side by side and interacting with them as simulacra of the real objects. Make measurements and  visualise geometric properties that enhance certain features to supports this task. The connection with the semantic metadata associated with every artefact is maintained and can be consulted and compared at the same time.

Reassemble

Discover fragments that once belonged to the same artefact and have a common fracture and semi-automatically reassemble them in a virtual environment.  Understand better the shape and size of the original artefact of unknown or unclear type or clarify the interpretation of the find context by determining the amount of objects in a context.

Enrich

Add new observations and discoveries to the semantic metadata of an artefact through 3D annotations or by asserting new values in a CIDOC CRM inspired ontology. Improve future search results and share observations with other users of the platform.
